-- is the best and most appropriate episode title yet.

Oh wow, explanatory episode. You gave me feral!Sam. ILU.

But seriously. We all knew that Ruby and Sam banged. And I am so with Dean on the, "DUDE. TMI," factor, not because I don't want Sam stripping down to get jiggy with every guest star hence (I totally do), but because hearing your younger sib talk about the notches in their bedpost? Not something you ever wanna hear.
But yeah. Thank you, show. You have no problem with making our fannish imaginings canon.

Also, so like Tall Tales, except with a neato concept. Because who doesn't know someone who thinks they hear angels. Yes, you have. Also, no Bobby to call them morons, but you can't have everything.

Um. What else. Oh yeah, the boys actually TALKING ABOUT STUFF. You know, that thing we've been cock-teased with ALL SEASON. THEY'RE TALKING. ABOUT FERAL!SAM. SO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS.

UH-HUH. DEAN, I'M LOOKIN' AT YOU.

And Ruby? Bam, baby, you made me like you again. You've so got a jones for Sam, but thats okay. Even Dean's like, "Well... you've gone with worse." The show went out of their way to make you not the bad guy, possession-wise, and I'm leaning as reluctantly as Dean into trusting you. Because we all seem to know that Kripke enjoys nothing more than surprise!betrayal when it comes to KILLING PEOPLE OFF. (COUGHJAKECOUGH.)
And then theres YED, and his master plan for Sam. And, yeah, I'm calling it, Anna. Tell me she's not a YED psychic kid.

Theres just... ohhhh. So much going on, you're kept guessing, and things just get better and better.

And Castiel seems to have gained the power to make my toes curl in glee when he makes his big, swoopy, wing!effect entrances. I so approve, you guys.

And on a purely special-effects-geek note, I really liked how Ruby's black-eyed stare didn't roll or blink into place. That second-lid cat slide into place made it equal to Castiel's thousand-yard stare with lag time.
And that means awesome.

Oh and PS- Dear Show,
You know this means that Dean is gonna score some more onscreen sex, right? I mean, you do know that, right? Trust me, its a rule. Hop to it, and see you next week!

My first-born at your earliest convenience,
Z

EDIT: Oh my god, people. IS IT THAT YOU FEAR CHANGE?! I may have to stop reading other people's reactions, they get so huffy about things like screentime. I think it comes to a shock to some people that a show needs more than two characters. Some people seem like they'd be content for the remainder of SPN to be based on solely Sam and his angst. I'm choosing to call this 'Season One Syndrome' and leaving to read some RPS porn.
Sheesh.
