Remember that movie? Kurt Russel beats up the bad guys? Yeah. Well, the basic story line is ACTUALLY about a grad student-esc doctor who happens to be fluent in ancient Egyptian being recruited to travel to another planet.
No, not this guy:

Thats Stargate SG1, a popular Sci-Fi channel show based off of the Stargate movie. In fact, its supposed to take place shortly after the movie ends.
The man I am referring to is here:

Cute, right?
Well, quite a few years later, Disney came out with a fairly interesting, inventive, and well animated movie called Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

In it, a grad student-esc doctor who happens to be fluent in ancient Atlantian is recruited to- to... travel to a... wait a minute.

...

What the hell?...
Anyway. Later, Sci-Fi expanded upon their already expansive Stargate universe, creating another series called...
uh...

... with... with new bad guys...

who... um. look a lot like...

And... uh.
Um.
Okay. The best I can figure is that Sci-Fi clearly believes in 'an eye for an eye' when it comes to creativity.
Or... somethin'.
i'm so confused.
