AUGH ALLERGIES
Aug. 10th, 2008 01:12 pmThe weather is beyond awesome right now, with an actual cold front coming south. It feels like October should feel, and so often does not. So the whole house is sleeping with the windows open.
I woke today with a sense of purpose. I know, right? But I realized that since I'm leaving tomorrow for the mountains for a week, and will only be back for two days before move-in day, I have shit to do! So after partaking in a fantastic breakfast made by my mother, consisting of scones, strawberries, and tea (how I'm gonna survive by myself while being so spoiled, I don't know) I started a load of laundry, dug out clean clothes from the communal laundry basket upstairs, folded and hung said clean clothes, and continued to pack my stuff for the big move in. I still have at least two loads of laundry to do, and I have to figure out if my bike, my main-source-of-transportation-to-be still, you know, rolls. And stuff.
And fight allergies while doing it.
YAY.
Later today, I'm gonna try to find the time to hang with a friend of mine whom I haven't seen since I left last August. He was an exchange student, too, so he and I have a lot in common. He was up in New York, seeing friends of his from his exchange year, but his trip got cut short when his car was T-boned by a friggin semi. He's okay, but a little sore. We may all go to Iron Man or something.
Knowing me, I'll probably post at least once more before I hit the road tommorrow, but if I, in fact, do not, I'll be back next Sunday! Peace!
