So, now that I'm back to reading manga, I'm skimming through all that I've missed in my hiatus, and found the short series Gerard and Jacques. (In my head, I call it Magical Love Gentlemen...)
This is a yaoi manga set in Revolutionary France.
This bears repeating.
This is a manga set in Revolutionary France.
Yah. I'm there.
The writer and artist is the creator of another of my favorite mangas, Antique Bakery. The art is simple, clean, and expressive. The characters are funny, sweet, sad, complicated, and awesome. You end up like me, reading the last pages with a stupid, sappy smile on your face that scares your mother.
Probably.
But don't just take my word for it. Read the damn things yourself.
