So, LJ is having a vote for who we want to represent the human aspect of the LiveJournal platform. It kinda ends today, so I'm glad I got the heads up.

This is... unexpected. I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that my days here were numbered, no matter how long I've had my basic account. But it seems that LJ is actually aware that they have pissed off fandom to a massive degree with the massive bans, deletions, and regulations. Well, hell, they pissed off a lot more than just fandom, but heres the thing. Fandom is anything if not organized. World domination would not be too rough on us.

I don't think LJ took into account the fact that most of the LJ users who got bit were very intelligent people with intelligent friends. I don't think they expected to be forced to explain themselves. I don't know much about their reasonings, as it really doesn't interest me that deeply (yes, even when it has the power to directly affect me, I am that lethargic), but as far as I know, there has been little rhyme or reason to the massive crackdowns.

Its nice to know that there might very well be a fandom rep on their side of the board.

Holy crap, we're unionizing! Sweet!
