Idea: Lets all get sent to an insane asylum. And take it the fuck over.

Rise up, lash out, break out. It'll be the best of Girl Interrupted and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest all at once!

Without the lobotomies.

Les' do it!

I'm trying to duck studying for exams, can you tell?

Its the kind of day/weather outside that makes you think of being a kid. Your definition of kid is up to you, but to me, that age is about 12 to 17. Its cool out, smelling like rain and wet concrete and dirt. That blend of ozone and dust makes me think of old books, damp jeans, that acid stink when you crush a centipede, and music.

I first heard Smile Empty Soul in high school, when I got my morning ride from a friend. They're the quintessential angsty teen band, with song titles such as Bottom of a Bottle, Therapy, and Self-Inflicted. The lyrics are self-destructive, angry, and just what a adolescent caught in the throes of hormones and growing the hell up wants to hear.

God, that was a bad time. I think its that way for everybody. You're so self-conscious and angry, being forced to make big, life-altering choices and above all, think about the future. No wonder so many of us crash and burn. We were scared to fucking death!

We're supposed to be all grown up when in college, but as far as I can tell, we're all still as scared as ever. Still fighting with our parents, making bad choices out of desperation.

Guys, being a grown up may suck, but being a kid aint that great, either.

The "Be Pete Wentz" Poetry Meme:

01. Put your music player on shuffle.
02. The first lines of twenty songs = a poem; the first line of the twenty-first song is the title.
03. And if you're me, shamelessly edit them.

Read somewhere during my travels through LJ:

rionaleonhart: PERHAPS CASTIEL IS SECRETLY A VELOCIRAPTOR
wanttobeatree: I WOULD LIKE THAT VERY MUCH
rionaleonhart: PERHAPS A VELOCIRAPTOR IS CASTIEL'S TRUE FORM
wanttobeatree: omg he has the eyes for it
wanttobeatree: that unnerving stare
wanttobeatree: that's very velociraptory
rionaleonhart: Man, we've totally spoiled ourselves for the end of the season, haven't we?
wanttobeatree: YES
rionaleonhart: DAMN OUR VELOCIRAPTOR-DETECTING ABILITIES.
wanttobeatree: I wonder what this discovery would make demons
wanttobeatree: I guess the natural enemy of the velociraptor is probably the manatee
rionaleonhart: …if you felt like explaining the line of reasoning behind this, I would be interested.
wanttobeatree: ISN'T IT OBVIOUS
wanttobeatree: also, manatees are essentially the exact opposite of velociraptors
wanttobeatree: only without being so small that they wouldn't be able to put up a fight
wanttobeatree: I also considered cows, before deciding they'd have to be something aquatic/avian
wanttobeatree: thus- manatee
wanttobeatree: I see you have been stunned into silence by my sheer brilliance
rionaleonhart: I was going to say that perhaps demons are birds, given the suspected dinosaur-bird evolutionary path, but then I remembered that demons are changed humans in Supernatural canon, not changed angels.
rionaleonhart: Apart from Lucifer.
rionaleonhart: Lucifer's a bird.
wanttobeatree: I think Lucifer is probably a turkey
wanttobeatree: they're very velociraptory
wanttobeatree: and also. evil.
rionaleonhart: It makes a lot of sense!
rionaleonhart: I - I think.
wanttobeatree: so if angels are velociraptors and demons are manatees and humans are something in between the two...
wanttobeatree: (velociraptor + manatee)/2 = human
sazzlette: I AM ENJOYING THIS REASONING
wanttobeatree: maybe humans are cows
sazzlette: aslkdlf
wanttobeatree: that would make a lot of sense.

Its both AWESOME and TERRIFYING to contemplate meeting these people in real life. Not everyone would survive, this much is clear.

I am weak.

We all do this. You're walking along, listening to your mp3 player, and this awesome, kick-ass song comes on and BAM! You're suddenly battling hordes of ninja orcs with a length of chain and the laser beams that shoot out of your eyes. The kind of songs that make even walking down the sidewalk an adventure.

Feel free to share your own epic songs. Here are mine.
