So, random observation of the day: If I want to be there, talking to you, I will look you in the eye and listen to every word you say.
If I do not, I will be physically unable to sit still and I will probably recognize one word in five as a part of the English language.
Seriously. Today in class, when our guest speaker was talking, I was going crazy. I was bouncing my leg, fiddling with my shirt, flipping my pen, twisting my hair. All of this unconsciously. It wasn't until I noticed the absolute stillness of other people around me that I realized that I was twitching like a junkie. I could make myself stop for about a minute before the tingly feeling in my leg got too bad and I had to start bouncing it again.
I'm pretty sure that that is the ADHD that I never got around to having diagnosed. Oh, well.
