I made a Spring Break mix CD for my mother and me and only after making it did I realize how mellow the music I'm listening to is.
I mentioned it to my mother, who told me that you need mellow when your life's in turmoil.
I guess so.

Anyway, if you're like me and have found yourself going from Drowning Pool to Tori Amos in terms of taste, then these songs are worth a listen.

Again, I use YouTube, because music html gets crazy.

Okay, yeah, Moonlight introduced this one to me, but upon hearing it, I went on a Google rampage, frantically trying to get this guy's voice out of my head and onto my Walkman. It sticks with you.

I played this while burning the 3 Doors Down CD for my mother, and my little sister looked up from her book when it was done and said, "That was cool!"

Yeah, it turns out that Finger Eleven is an actual band, not a one-trick pony. Who knew?

Yes, if you know me, I've pushed this song on you like no other, but that doesn't change the fact that these guys took an amazing song and made it better. Tell me I'm wrong.

I may have rec'ed this before, and you may even recognize the music line from a rap song that's been playing, but rest assured, this is about Vietnamese-Americans, not drugs.

At this point, you're probably all introspective and depressed, so have some loud music to reaffirm your taste for music with a bass line:

Yeah, my younger siblings are only allowed to listen to two songs off of this album, and this song is not one of them.
