Yesterday my school sent out an e-mail advising us that there was a possibility of our water being contaminated, and that we should refrain from drinking it until they could run tests.

They also said that it was safe to shower in, but there wasn't a person going anywhere near their shower last night, I promise you.

They gave us the all-clear, and this morning I read that LJ is expecting a DDoS attack and that is why crossposting has been kind of 'eh' for the last couple of days.

I'm torn between annoyance and that sick glee I get from seeing someone stick it to the Man. Annoyance because, if LJ crashes, there will be a lot of unintended causalities and that will suck for the ones who lose years of invested writing and posts. But the fact remains that LJ has shown to be in favor of censorship and heavy-handed administration, deleting blogs for containing 'inappropriate content', and I can't make myself sympathize with the site for getting a taste of what that feels like.

That said, the motivations of the DDoS attackers have yet to be announced, so this could very well be the personal grievance of one 16 year old kid sitting in his parent's basement. But, again, don't care.

Huzzah anarchy.

Go look at your blog journal. Find the last fandom-related thing you posted. The characters in that post are now your team-mates in the Zombie Apocalypse. How fucked are you?

Christine, the Phantom, and Raoul. Somehow I get the feeling that my canon Christine and Phantom will curb-stomp me and Raoul at the earliest opportunity so they can make the classic sunset get-away while we get nommed on by the living dead.

So, yeah.

Ahahaha, so I pressured [livejournal.com profile] zece into posting her latest pornlet, and one outpouring of "MY TORMENTED SOUL ZOMG" deserves another, even if it's written by me and is really, really disturbing. because the fact that I'm writing isn't terrifying enough

Ye be warned. )

Ahahaha, I love October!

I went thrift store shopping today to get supplies for my Halloween costume (Ash Ketchum) and while digging through some truly awesomely terrible clothes, I encountered...

click for the horror )

I also had a reverse trick-or-treat for my residents, today. I wandered around and knocked on my resident's doors and threw candy, glowsticks, and fake vampire teeth at them. They were thrilled. I had a lot of fun doing it for them, and it was great seeing their faces light up. Us working 20-somethings don't get to trick-or-treat too often, anymore, and a lot of us miss it.

I have to work Halloween night, but I'm gonna be gorging on candy and horror movies that night, anyway, so its not so bad. And I'll be wearing my costume, uniform be damned.

Happy Halloween, folks!
